The Balkan Contexts
Description
The story of theological education in the Balkan region is rich and complex.
This course allows you to participate virtually in a consultation held in 2018 that gathered a number of the key players in theological education the region to address issues of shifting paradigms, the changing perspectives of Balkan churches, issues of institutional leadership, vocational and change, the emergence of public theology and new opportunities (such as those with the Roma community) that can lead to innovation.
Whether you operate as a theological educator in the Balkan region or not, this course will help you appreciate this region and open your eyes to many global issues that invest theological education.
Course Outcomes
This is course based on a 2018 consultation of theological colleges organised by the Central and Eastern European Associations for Missions Studies (CEEAMS) in Osijek, investigating the trends, challenges and needs of theological education in the Balkan context. This course is recommended for all those operating in the region.

This course is authored by a number of keys speakers that participated in the Osijek 2018 consultation hosted by the Central and Eastern European Association for Mission Studies (CEEAMS) in cooperation with the Evangelical Theological Seminary in Osijek, Croatia.
