ACCREDITATION AND QA
Internal Quality Assurance in Europe
Description
This course was initially offered in conjunction with the 2019 ECTE General Assembly in Rome on the topic: 'Engaging quality in theological education in the European Higher Education Area and the global ICETE community' (see ECTE GA 2019).
It is designed in particular for leaders and quality assurance officers in theological colleges that are looking for accreditation and recognition in the European Higher Education Area. It is however also a course that will equip members of visiting evaluation teams as they engage in accreditation visits with the European Council for Theological Education.
The aims of the course are fundamentally to give an orientation to Part 1 of the European Standards and Guidelines that outline the basic standards and guidelines for quality assurance in European higher education institutes (HEIs).
Course Outcomes
This course introduces Part 1 of the European Standards and Guidelines that deals with the standards for internal quality assurance of higher education institutes (HEIs) in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). It is particularly suited for schools that are seeking accreditation or review through the European Council for Theological Education (ECTE) and wish to fully understand European quality assurance standards.
