Strategies for Formation in D/OTE


This nano-course builds on the foundational Community in Distance and Online Theological Education course focusing on community-related competencies for educators as defined by the Distance and Online Theological Education Competence framework (category E). This is one of the seven, advanced-level courses in the series.

Course Outcomes

The specific competence developed in this course is:

  1. Can provide example strategies for spiritual formation and character education in D/OTE

  • Why have an integrated strategy for the holistic formation of your online / distance students?
  • How to design and implement an integrated strategy for the holistic formation of your students
  • Examples and reflections to help you facilitate the personal and spiritual development of your students in the online context
