This nano-course builds on the aspect of evaluation of learning found in the Pedagogy in D/OTE foundational course that focuses on pedagogical competencies for educators as defined by the Distance and Online Theological Education Competence framework (category B).
This is one of the seven, advanced-level courses in the D/OTEC series.
Course Outcomes

The specific competences developed in this course are:

  1. Can use a variety of D/OTE tools for assessment
  2. Can implement best practices in assessment feedback to D/OTE students

  • Principles of defining and designing authentic assessments
  • Example strategies for authentic assessments
  • Reflect on your own teaching and apply principles to the assessment tasks you give to your students
