Quality Assurance of Online Theological Education

This course provides a practical tool to evaluate the quality of online theological education.  The course is useful both for quality assurance agencies, peer reviewers (VETs) and institutions involved in self-assessment of their online delivery.   This is a 2 hour, self-paced online nanocourse that requires completing an assessment questionnaire, writing a development plan and passing a final quiz.

Developing Character Through Online Forums

This course engages with an article that appeared in E-Learning and Digital Media  entitled 'Where is the Character Education in Online Higher Education? Constructivism, Virtue Ethics and Roles of Online Educators' (Harrison and Laco).  The course explores how character education can be achieved in theological education with a particular focus on using discussion forums. This is a 2 hour, self-paced online nanocourse that requires reading an article, writing a brief response and developing examples of character education and facilitation.

This course engages with a selection of articles that appeared in the ATS journal Theological Education that present a fresh set of perspectives on different topics involving 'Online Theological Education' (2019, Vol.52, n.2).  This is a 2 hour, self-paced online nanocourse that requires reading two articles, engaging in a contextual application exercise and sharing a brief review through social media.

Online Character Education - Really? (copy)
